It's been a while since I posted to this journal - or even looked at this page. In fact, the last time I was around DevArt I was 21... which seems odd to me because I kind of figure I should have been less creatively productive considering how drunk I was. Then again, I guess being a lush kind of goes hand-in-hand with being "artsy"... unless you're straight-edge... in which case I wasn't talking to you.
Tons new, but not much to talk about. I did get married a couple of months ago (August!) and my wife just started her own devArt (about time...) which sort of re-sparked my interest.
I'm planning on starting a photo journal, and this will probably be the site where I post what I come up with. I'm thinking something along the lines of social commentary photo-journalism (without abstraction), as well as some architectural and portraiture. With any luck, I'll have a new kit to play with in a month or two... but in the mean time I'll probably just work on my AE-1 Program (film) and a loaner digital p-a-c.
In the mean time: thanks for all of the emails and comments, and I'm sorry I wasn't around (or being bothered with being around) to respond or show my appreciation for solid critiques, watches, and favorites. You can find my wife's work at lizsuburbia.deviantart.com or lizsuburbia.livejournal.com. She works mainly in sequentials and drawn commissions - so feel free to pester her for low-cost personal artwork, or tell her she doesn't suck.
